Go
cry a tear elsewhere
I just can’t believe how many people in Central PA
get a bug up their ass and have to let you know about it.
Over the winter I did a mockery of the local news media covering
the Valentine Day snowstorm. Got a ton of emails from people
stating how much they loved it. It was from those comments
that I wanted to add a section permanently to the website,
just for some spoof type stories. Last week I finally
added the section called "This Just In"
Again, got a bunch of emails saying they laughed their ass
off. I guess what bothers me is the handful of emails that
were outraged at the stories. I knew from their grammar used,
they could not be regulars to the website. (Trust me after
years of getting emails, you just know) I’m guessing
the search engines pointed them to the section. In today’s
world, the search engines are always scouring the net for
website updates. Hell years ago you prayed for just one visit
a week. I guess what really bothers me is that a disclaimer
is printed on top of the page letting people know what it
is. Still some ass wipes with nothing better to do, must take
the time and effort to let me know what they really think.
I’m debating whether or not to post the emails. There
are some legal issues regarding this. I don’t care what
they say, cry me a river, last week that area was the number
one requested page of the website and it’s staying!!!
(With more to be added every week)
I have to ask, if they are that concerned, why email me?
Why not email the national media that makes up or twist their
news stories. Why not email the local media that just reports
off press releases and statements from officials.
The recent Island Party mishap is a prime example of this.
If you are to believe the press (TV and Print) no city official
or the police department had any knowledge a HUGE party took
place for the last 6 years just off the shores from the city.
So no one had a son or daughter, relative, family friend or
knew of anyone else that had knowledge of this event. No one
might have saw a flyer that was dropped by mistake. No one
saw any mention of this on the internet. BULLSHIT!!!
Also if you are to believe the local media you would think
the organizer of the event was some renegade outlaw that came
in from California to throw this party. Again BULLSHIT!!!
I know Quincey and every time I saw him he had a smile on
his face and was eager to talk about his music and/or plans
for an upcoming event he was working. An honest straight forward
guy that loved the art of being a DJ. But the media, again
not reporting just stating comments and press releases, fails
to mention he is originally from this area. Hell they even
point to his website Central PA Underground Promotions and
still can’t tie the knot.
No our local media just keeps us up to date on the latest
comments coming from the police department and mayor’s
office. I guess you can’t blame the city. Up until this
point nothing happened. Now we have a drowning and they are
in denial mode to avoid the almost certain lawsuit. To make
matters worse they arrested people and charged them over $1,000
in fines. So for just going to a party you get a $1,000 fine.
I wonder how much a prostitute picked up in the city has to
pay for a fine?
I hope to god this story gets out across the nation and
some slick ass lawyer will go after the city. Better yet I
hope they sue the city and win a huge settlement that will
force the Mayor to come out and say another service from the
city will be cut because of the settlement size. Time will
tell.
I do wish Quincey and his wife good luck in this future battle,
I’m sure it will be a legal mess and pure hell for the
few months. It looks like there will be some fundraiser events
set up soon to help them out. I would encourage all of our
site visitors to go and show your support.
I also wish our local media would take a step back and actually
try to do some “reporting”, versus just typing
or broadcasting a press release or comment from a public official.
Finally, just wanted to mention plans for the 2nd Annual
Central PA Music Awards are under way. Nominations will start
next week. Voting will take place during the month of October
and we’ll wrap things up with a HUGE party on Nov. 15th.
Watch our Home Page for the details. If you thought last year
was something, just wait till you see this year’s event!!
