Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the March 25 edition of Rocky 104.9 and Rocky 99's weekly local music program, "The Homegrown Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WRKY-FM (http://www.rocky1049.com) and WRKW-FM (http://www.rocky99.com).

Thanks to our guests this week, Blairsville-based hard rockers Medikaded (http://www.medikaded.com). We met the band members and learned their story. We heard two new songs from them, along with tracks from Medikaded’s Chronic Anxiety CD; three lucky listeners called in to win copies of the CD, as well as pairs of tickets to go see Medikaded participate in “Battle of the Bands” at Pittsburgh’s Rex Theatre on May 20! In addition, we debuted a new song from Dauntia, updated “Local Music News,” dug out a 2002 song from Johnstown’s Lost Ledny for a “Local Music Flashback,” and reviewed The Jellybricks’ Suckers EP in “The Professor’s CD Corner.”

On our next show, we will again empty the “Homegrown Rocker” mailboxes and check out some of the new recordings that have arrived in recent weeks. We plan to debut lots of new tunes, including a brand new one from Ron Gallucci’s forthcoming second CD! We will also update “Local Music News,” dig into the archive for another “Local Music Flashback,” and review Marshmellow Overcoat’s On Safari[/u] CD in “The Professor’s CD Corner!” Maximum local and regional music on the “Homegrown Rocker,” next Sunday night!
