Market Square Concerts Summermusic Festival presents the Fry Street Quartet for three concerts in two locations, joined by Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra conductor and pianist Stuart Malina, oboist Gerard Reuter, violinist Peter Sirotin and cellist Fiona Thompson. Tickets are $30, $25 for seniors, $5 for college students and free for school students. All three concerts are available for $80, $70 for seniors. Concerts are Wednesday, July 21 at 6 p.m. at Market Square Church, 22 S. 2 in Harrisburg; Saturday, July 24 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 25 at 4 p.m., both in historic Glen Allen Mill. Glen Allen Mill is located on the Yellow Breeches Creek in Cumberland County, between Bowmansdale and Lisburn, adjacent to 928 McCormick Road, Mechanicsburg. Seating at Glen Allen Mill is limited.

Wednesday night’s concert features Bach’s Oboe Concerto in D, Schumann’s Romances, Beethoven’s String Quartet Opus 18 #3 and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet Opus 80. Saturday night begins with Mozart’s Oboe Quartet in F and also includes Dohnanyi’s Serenade and Tchaikovsky’s “Souvenir de Florence.” Sunday’s concert features the St. Saens’ Sonata for oboe and piano and Beethoven’s Piano Trio Opus 1 #3. The festival concludes with Schumann’s monumental Piano Quintet.
The Summermusic Festival honors the memory of Dr. Jason Litton, who for many years was the president of the board of Market Square Concerts and had a strong association with its Summermusic Festival.
