The Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art will hold its 6th Annual “Celebrity Classic” Clay Shoot Fundraiser on Friday, August 27, 2010 at Blue Ridge Sportsmen’s Club in Linglestown, PA. All proceeds from the event benefit the Ned Smith Center’s environmental and conservation education programming.
The event will give individuals and teams a chance to meet and shoot with retired NFL players and professional skeet shooters. This year’s celebrity lineup includes Penn State Defensive Coordinator Jerry Sandusky, professional shooter Allen Treadwell, former Steelers tight end Randy Grossman, former Baltimore Colts guard Glenn Ressler and former Eagles and Raiders fullback Jon Ritchie. Both Ressler and Ritchie sit on the shoot planning committee.
Shooting teams will shoot on a 100-target sporting clay course with Lewis Class scoring. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Shooting will be followed by a hearty dinner provided by JDK Catering, as well as silent and live auctions and an awards ceremony.
